Announcement: A Challenge at Horse Latitudes

Dear draconian readership,

It's January. The doldrums of February are about to begin, pretty soon. If you're in school, it'll start dragging by with extremely slow pacing (if it hasn't already). If you're out of school, you're probably going to be tired too. It's that time of year.
For me, a little bit of a different story, because my birthday's in February. But still. I feel it too. It's like when you're out at sea, and things are going great, and you get a blast of wind in your sails, and then...BAM!!! No wind, no current, no nothing. Doldrums. Or horse latitudes, as some call it, because people had to get rid of, so to speak, the horses on board the ships because they drink too much water.
You're probably feeling like one of those horses. One of your (hopefully) favorite blogs has come to a stagnant standstill. It's the second half of January. And you've got a pet duck staring at you through the scope of a sniper rifle.
So, a challenge for the readership, to keep spirits up. What's the weirdest thing that's happened to you so far this month?
