The first novel in the Alex Rider series, Stormbreaker introduces the title character, a 14-year-old boy who excels in just about everything, but just wants to be normal. Raised by his uncle Ian, Alex has no idea about the world of spies. But then, when Ian is killed in a "car crash," Alex grows suspicious. He is recruited by MI6, a British military intelligence agency, to finish the job his uncle died working on: to figure out whether Stormbreaker, a revolutionary computer, is not a front for a far more sinister plan.
